Tisha. a session to remember.
Tisha is one of my dear friends. We’ve been friends since middle school and she is the type of friend that will always be there…no matter what. When she asked me to do this session I was so honored to be apart of such a personal moment. Tisha, I love you.. thank you for allowing me to be apart of this.
November 12th marked one year since Tisha lost her mom. She wanted to do a very special session where she released a dove in her memory. So, she got an adorable birdcage, a gorgeous dove, and we pranced around in a beautiful field.
I will always hold a very special place in my heart for these photos..I am in love with them. I hope they touch you as you look through them.
really, my friends are stunning.
We then wrapped Tisha’s moms belt around the birdcage and this became my absolute favorite shot.
Every time Tisha kissed the dove, it closed it’s eyes. Seriously, I’m amazed.
ok, one very unexpected thing happened during this shoot.. when Tisha opened her hands to release the bird it didn’t fly away! It just kept flying to the ground.
My second favorite shot.
The necklace was her mom’s. This photo makes me melt. I love how the dove has it’s eyes closed.

Megan, I can’t tell you how much this meant to me. I would and could not have done this without you. Thank you so much for helping me put all this together. I am so excited to get the rest of the photos so I can hang one on my wall. Every time I look at it, it will help me think of my mommy. You are an amazing photographer and friend I love you very much!
I might have to release another dove because as we all know our dove Purl did not fly away…..Mom’s spirit doesn’t want to leave me yet, and I don’t think I’m ready either -

These are so beautiful.
Hawaii! Part 1..
It is so hard to believe that a week ago I was in Oahu….The land of see through water and perfect weather. Eight days flew by way..way too fast and I find myself missing Hawaii. A lot. Maybe, just maybe I’ll visit again soon..very soon. But for now, I have pictures to remind me of the beautiful island!
This post is dedicated to days 1-4 of our island getaway. There are just way too many photos to go through, it’s taking me longer than I thought! Since our room was on the 34th floor we had an amazing view.. so I took advantage and got some pretty amazing shots. Enjoy
We ventured to Nuuanu Pali State Park to look at the amazing view… This was probably the windiest place EVER!
…but, it was quite breathtaking..
The China mans Hat!
We finally made our way to the Polynesian Cultural Center where we saw monkeys… I mean, men climb up palm trees…
..and we saw an amazing show called, Ha! The breath of life.
We had a relaxing day with no agenda so we decided to go to the Honolulu Zoo which just so happened to be walking distance from our hotel!
There were turtles about 1000000 times larger than these but I liked this photo better.
This guys was such a show off. He stopped to “pose” for us!
This photo is called, “even ugly animals need their photo taken” enjoy.
Here’s a little FYI… did you know it’s a myth that porcupine’s shoot out their quills when they’re scared? good thing because that’s them on the right..
Hope you enjoyed
Be on the lookout for Hawaii.. Part 2 soon!
