Get To Know Me

In high school, I wanted to become a nurse, it wasn’t until I learned that you had to poke yourself with a needle over and over to “practice” that I thought..hm..maybe not. Then, in college I studied to be a teacher, and so I student taught a kindergarten class for a couple weeks and realized that I couldn’t stand being around twenty 5-6 year olds all day.. And that’s when I realized, I wanted to do what I loved, not something that I would be “safe” in.
It all started when I was eleven, I took a trip across the country with my Dad and took photos of absolutely everything. Granted, I used disposable cameras during that two week long trip, so ever since my Gpa bought me my first DSLR it has been glued to me like a siamese twin. I had always loved taking photos but never really thought that it could be my career. So, I decided to take the risk and jump into it. I wouldn’t be where I am now without the help of Michael. He has pushed me so much to become a better photographer and I am so grateful for him.
I love capturing peoples emotions through my lens. I’m a total romantic, completely in love with love. Being able to release my shutter and freeze a moment that lasts more than a lifetime still amazes me. It brings me so much joy to see the look on a persons face after they’ve seen their images. I feel so lucky to be able to call what I love a career.
