Mad ♥ Mondays
Wooo!! It is officially the first day of summer! Summertime is my absolute favorite and I always look forward to laying by the pool, beach, anything with water basically. I can’t believe June is already almost over. I cannot wait until July though. I have so many fun things planned for the month of July already, first up is my birthday, a fun e-session in SF, then a trip to Visalia to celebrate my bday with my family and friends, then a VERY fun trip to Palm Springs with some of the coolest photographers around, then a family wedding! Whew! It’s going to be packed but very fun-filled. Now, onto some fun and (some) summery things for this weeks Mad ♥ Monday!
#1. So, I know that the whole grey and yellow combo is kind of overdone now but I still love it. I especially love the contrast between the charcoal grey in this combo with that fun mustard yellow.

#2. to me, this little photograph really screams summer. I love the faded color and the super cute umbrella! I can’t wait to be hanging under those next month!

#3. Oh J. Crew, stop it. I really hate and love when I get the new catalog in the mail. Their stuff is ridiculously cute and I really could just take one of everything from their store! I love this little bikini. The colors, the bow! SO cute! Not to mention, a bandeau top is always a must for a nice summer tan =)
#4. I love it when brides let their bridesmaids choose their own dresses. I may have talked about this before on a Mad Love post but I found this photo over at Inspired By This and had to share (again). It allows your girls to show their personalities and to be quite honest, it’s just more fun to look at then the same dress on 10 girls. I love this brides choice of the bright yellow! So bright and cheery!

Mad ♥ Mondays
Sorry this one is late but better late than never right? I’ve had a whirlwind of a week and today was my first day to really relax! I’m not complaining at all, I love that I’m super busy but shooting 4 family sessions and 2 weddings in the span of 4 days really takes a toll on you! I have lots to blog so pretty soon you’ll be seeing something other than my face! Exciting right?? Alright, now onto some of my favorite things from the week!
#1. Erin over at Dandelion and Grey did a post on these gorgeous wedding and engagement ring alternatives. Most of the time when people think “engagement ring” you envision a giant diamond on a silver band, right? Me, not so much. I am absolutely smitten by these simple and classic gold rings. I LOVE the skinny-ness of the plain band! I think the two of these together would be a perfect combo =)
#2. One piece of advice to my brides. I know this is one thing that you would probably never think of, but as a wedding photographer It’s the little things like this that I notice. Please get a pretty hanger for your wedding dress! It looks so much better than a regular ol’ plastic/wire one! I love these custom ones featured here! I’m pretty sure Etsy is the place to go for anything like this!
#3. I Do Films is offering a new product! They provide you with a Super 8 camera to take on your honeymoon and when you get back they’ll put it all together for you! How awesome is that? I think it’s such a cute idea! Head over to Inspired By This for more info and to watch some videos!
#4. I love monogrammed anything! Especially these cute little coin purses! The company that makes them is called Alphabet Bags and also makes bags and totes with fun sayings on them! Head over to Decor8 to read more!
Have a lovely week friends

I’m with you on the ring, girl! Beautiful.
Mad ♥ Mondays
It’s that time of the week again =)
#1. Who wants to know how to do a fishtail braid? I do!!!! Over at N.E.E.T. magazine, there’s a video tutorial on just that!
#2. Michael shot these gorgeous photos of Wynter last time he was in Visalia! I may be biased but he has such a good eye for this kind of stuff. {It’s kind of annoying} He just picks it up so dang naturally! Head over to his blog and check out the rest of them!
#3. This is theeeee coolest guest sign in display I’ve ever seen! The couple had one of their engagement photos blown up and then cut into squares. Guests would grab one of the squares and write on the back of the photo and then find it’s place on the wooden board. My explanation kind of sucks so head over to Ruffled and hear how the bride and groom explain their day! I just love custom guest sign in things! I think the days of sign in albums are ooooover =)
#4. My iPhone case, as of yesterday, is done. I hate not having a case on my phone because it’s so slick and I just know I’m going to drop it. So, ironically, I found over at Design Sponge some really really cute cases! I think the owl one pictured below is seriously too freakin cute! I may have to track it down and get it for myself!
I’m off to Visalia today! I’m really excited to be there for a whole week and actually have it be a little more relaxed than usual. I have some some family shoots while I’m down there and then Michael and I will be headed to Paso Robles on Saturday for my cousins wedding! It will still be a jam packed trip but I love it that way. Hopefully sometime this week I can work on my tan too =)

hahaha! I feel special too because I can do the fishtail braid. It’s cute. I heart your madLOVEmonday posts too. Sweet case! Hope you get it. Or something better. I’m loving my little hard incase one. Didn’t like it at first but now I do. Even with its pimplike golden gleam. Oh! That sign in board is fabulous. So delightful. What did they do with it once it was all done? Frame in heavy duty glass/pyrex and then hang it in a room so you could see both sides? That would be sweet!

i know what you mean about the j.crew catalog. i especially love the photography in the new one. it’s weird — i never thought about the photography in catalogs until i became a photographer. now i barely notice the clothes the first time i look through because i am thinking about the photography and the post processing! happy monday!!
