Today I am 24.
Honestly, 24 doesn’t feel anything different than 23. I feel like it’s an age stand still, nothing exciting really happens. Still have to pay extra to rent a car. I’m not really sure at what age you start feeling actually “different”. Maybe 30? Any who, here are things I am sure about.
Today the country will celebrate my birth with fireworks. duh.
Today I know so much more than I did at this time last year. I’ve laughed, loved and cried (mainly over ridiculous things)
Today I am more thankful for my family and friends than I ever have been.
In lieu of today, here are twenty four things you may or may not know about me.

#1. I’m obsessed with maps. I just like them. Oh, and globes, but the old brown ones, not the bright blue/green modern things. Those are so 2010.
#2. In the last year, I have made 11 extra friends that now, I couldn’t imagine my life without. {THS}
#3. This year I’ve put more miles on my car than I can count.
#4. My best friend got married this year & I got to stand next to her as she became a Mrs.
#5. I was blessed with a new niece in May.
#6. Four letters. Lola. She’s a major pain in my butt sometimes but I love her anyways.
#7. Peonies. My current favorite flowers.
#8. I have a wedding folder on my desktop full of inspiration for my future wedding. You know, in like 10 years.
#9. I do not like modern houses. I would much rather live in an old Victorian. Squeaky floors and all.
#10. One word. stripes.
#11. I am going to visit Venice very soon and ride in a gondola. (seriously)
#12. I couldn’t live without music. It feeds my soul.
#13. I LOVE weddings.
#14. I’ve never been fond of my birthday being on the 4th of July, but next year I’m embracing it. Get ready.
#15. I feel funny wearing hats.
#16. I could easily decorate my entire house with sappy love prints.
#17. I never watch videos people send to me. woops.
#18. I met Ryan Gosling this year. Well by met, I mean we exchanged “hi’s, how are you’s”. But seriously, it’s the real deal and we’re getting married one day.
#19. If he doesn’t work out, Gerard Butler is my back up.
#20. I consider myself pretty crafty and hands on. I contribute every ounce of that to my Mama.
#21. I usually wait to fill up my gas tank until it’s way below empty. bad habit.
#22. I’m a procrastinator. my bad.
#23. My heart skips a beat whenever I see a field of wheat.
#24. I’m happy. I think that’s really all that matters.

Thursday Thoughts. My Best Friend’s Wedding.

First off, No. Thursday Thoughts is not another segment of mine. That would just be a little too much over here. It just sounded nice and I have things to say. So, moving on.
Ah, Wynter and Will are MARRIED! It was truly one of the most beautiful days I’ve ever witnessed. Wynter now has a new last name and Will wears a ring. It’s cute.
As I stated before, I was going to be shooting parts of the wedding but also {THANK THE LORD} had my amazing friend Raquel Leal there all day backing me up. And boy did I ever need the back up. These silly live events never go according to plan, ya know? I was a little bit like a chicken with it’s head cut off. I just wanted everything to run as smooth as possible. What I should have done was relax. Sometimes, I’m a bit of a control freak. woops.
In the end, everything was perfect. Raquel captured the whole day beautifully! And although for a split second, I was a little bummed that I didn’t just shoot the entire thing, after looking over all of the photos, I was so happy to see myself IN them! Then Wynter said to me, “I would much rather have had you up there standing next to me than shooting it” and everything was right in the world.
I still managed to shoot about a ton and this is one of my favorite sets.
These photos that Raquel captured made it all SO worth it! I couldn’t imagine not standing next to Wynter as she became a married woman.

Good Evening, my sweet loves =)
It’s been quite an interesting day! Did a ton of spring cleaning, killed a few mice, {seriously} unpacked from my recent trip to Vegas with Mary & got to love on my precious little baby girl.
A recap of my weekend:
Drove to Santa Monica, rode in car {while listening to Adele, duh} with Amanda & Mary to Vegas, had dinner at Serendipity <3, met a new friend, hung out with a bunch of dudes, shot a wedding with my favorite Mary =), walked almost 10,000 steps, slept in till noon, walked around the strip, watched Mary’s hat fly into the Bellagio fountains, shot a day after session with Mary in the desert, went on the most perfect date in Vegas……a movie & bowling 
, got up, packed, rode in the car with Amanda & Mary, walked around the stupid steep hills of Beverly Hills, hugged Rilo, drove home.
What I didn’t do this weekend:
eat frozen yogurt.
What I need to do soon:
eat frozen yogurt. Oh, & find a date to a wedding Saturday, know anyone? =)

#6. My Mom. Since I didn’t get to spend Mother’s Day with her yesterday I helped her clean today. What? Best daughter award? I KNOW! =) But, I did get her a card that took the words straight from my brain and put it all pretty on a folded piece of paper. Don’t you love when that happens? Cards are my favorite things to receive. fyi =) My Mom is the best. I mean, check me out, rockin the bandana way back in the day? She started my fashion wisdom off on the RIGHT foot! Thanks Mom, love you!

Speaking of precious baby girls
I’m so in love with my new little niece. Today she is a whole week old! I can’t wait till we can sit and chat and talk about dance!
Just a day old and has more hair than I did at 2 years old.
The morning I left last week, just 3 days old here. I love her chubby cheeks <3
