My thoughts and a hiatus.
So, as of last night…I am camera-less! My Nikon has officially been sold and now I’m moving to the dark side {canon}. Just kidding =) I am going to add that I LOVE Nikon but, I was ready to move up to a full frame camera and have decided on the Canon 5d markii. Michael has it and I’ve been using it lately and have really enjoyed everything about it. So with that said..while I’m in the transition, I will be camera-less for the next few days, {since Michael is out of town, with camera in tow} which means that my 365 project will have to be put on hold unless you think I should do a iPhone-tography series…mmm…I think not?
…Since a post is always better with a photo.. Here’s what I saw when Michael cooked some chicken the other night. I think he cooks with love, don’t you?

Day Trip To Cayucos & 3 days late, 3 dollars short?
We had such a lovely day today celebrating G-mas’s Birthday! We did a bit of wine tasting at Mondo Winery in Paso Robles. Well, I should say that some of us did wine tasting…I more so did wine sipping. I know it’s an acquired taste and all but I just can’t seem to acquire it. I’d much rather has a pepsi. What a crazy drinker I am! The red umbrellas from the winery drew us in and the staff there were so friendly! We all had such a fun little stop there and were pretty happy we accidentally made a wrong turn and ended up there! From the winery we headed to Cayucos. The sky was threatening us with foggy weather but as we drove over the mountain we were greeted with quite a warm sunny day! Despite the crazy wind on the pier, of course! I grabbed a few shots of the beach and since I’m ohhhh 3 days behind on my 365 I thought I’d make up for it =) I kind of feel bad that I’m being a cheater…but it is my project so I can make the rules, right? Ok..perfect! Let’s get on with some photos!
I love this shot. This guy was doing some wind surfing that I had never seen before. We watched him from the outdoor patio while we had lunch at Schooners. I swear there were times we all thought the wind was going to take him up..up high into the air!

oh poor birds.. They really don’t stand a chance to these spikes.

My Mom smuggled some rocks from the beach. That’s legal right?

We stopped in this little town of Harmony on our way out. And by little I mean….the population is 18. We checked out their shops.. Well, their whole 2 shops in town. One was a pottery shop and the other one was a shop full of blown glass. Crazy stuff in there. It reminded me of the movie Sweet Home Alabama where he does all the glass blowing stuff.

Loved this little bike, so I grabbed a shot =)

Happy Birthday to your Beautiful Grandmother! Have a blast tomorrow! I was so happy to feature your darling teaparty shoot! Thanks for giving me the ok. As I’m sure you know, I’m a HUGE fan of your work! xo

Nooo not Canon!! lol but congrats. I played around with the 5DMKII and while it’s a nice camera, I don’t think I could make the switch. I’ve got my eye on the D700…
iphone pictures would be great! Do it!!! Or take some pictures on your computer…don’t stop cause you have no camera..this is such a great challenge and it will be cool to look back on later in the year and be like “that was when I sold my camera!” haha. Congrats on selling it and congrats on switching to Canon! <3
Welcome to Canon!! I love having a full frame camera
