Day two with the girls. We went to Magic Mountain! A place to tube and where the Alpine Slide lives! {We all felt so a la Cool Runnings}

After we all had a go at the Alpine Slide, we grabbed a tube and headed for the snowy mountain!
It had an walking escalator going up the mountain. HEAVEN! I would have DIED walking up it each time. It also happened to have amazing light =)
After an afternoon of getting snow down our boots and racing children down the mountain, we went out on a search for somewhere snowy, with trees to shoot. I’m just gunna throw this out there…..IT WAS FREEZING COLD.
These girls have my heart. I love them.
Next trip. Santa Cruz. July.
To say, “I can’t wait” would definitely be an understatement.

It started out as just a girls getaway. A trip to Palm Springs to hang out at a cool hotel and get to know some industry peeps. Well that went so incredibly well that we planned another trip… & before this trip was over we planned the next one. We were all acquaintances, during Palm Springs we turned into friends, after Big Bear we each had a deep and meaningful relationship with each and every woman there. I feel so blessed and so incredibly lucky to have met these girls. They inspire me to the moon and back and I’m not sure what I did to deserve them but I’m very, very thankful.
In July of 2010, we went to probably the warmest place in all of California….Palm Springs. We probably lost about 2olbs each from sweat so for this trip we decided to go somewhere cold. Big Bear it was!!! I really cannot say enough good things about this trip. I fell in love with shooting in the snow. I want to shoot there everyday. & that’s exactly what we did there. I’m pretty sure we all fell in love with the way that the snow photographs and reflects the light. It’s really Heaven….

We drank wine.
We climbed over a fence in someone’s backyard and shot photos on the lake. the most beautiful view and light.
Then we walked around our adorable little cabin filled neighborhood.
Part 2 will be posted tomorrow! There’s just too much goodness to all share in one day =)

It’s one of my favorite holidays ♥

Here’s Darren’s V-Day gift. I wrapped a copy paper box & realized that the poster I got for him wouldn’t fit inside. So I sat and pondered about what the heck to do with it. Then *ding ding* I would make it and arrow going through a heart! My “arrow” is a little wonky but you (and he) get the idea. My mom was astonished by my creativity =)
I spent the weekend at the coast with my boy and pup. We explored the area of Montana De Oro yesterday and holy mother of all things beautiful!!!! That place is absolutely gorgeous. We could not stop ooing and ahing each corner we went around! I took a ton of photos with my iPhone (& dlsr, & polaroid) and used Instagram to edit them! Here’s a little collage of our afternoon!! The Park overlooks all of Morro Bay and has the most insanely beautiful view of the sunset. There were a TON of people there at sunset shooting photos!
We stopped in the trees and used my new remote and shot photos!! It was SO fun and these pictures make me grin ear to ear ♥
