Mary is amazing. I think I could end this post with those three words but since I’m sure you want me to blabber on, I’ll keep going. She has the kindest heart. Is always there with open ears when I’m about ready to throw my computer out the window. I’m impatient, what? I really don’t know what I would do without her and I have the internet to thank for meeting her. I am so blown away with the universe and how you are just meant to meet people and befriend them. Mary and I, spur of the moment, decided to walk around and shoot photos of each other the other day. You saw a few of the ones she shot of me. Now it’s my turn.

Mary, I love these. You are beautiful.

Today Mary and I strolled around the Melrose Flea Market. Mary got some awesome antique finds and I got a cute shirt and gifts for my goo =) After eating delicious sno cones, Mary wanted to take me to Runyon Canyon where she hikes, to show me the gorgeous view of the city. Well, as we were walking back up the hill to our car this couple walked by. I thought to myself, “geez, those two look familiar”. Sure enough it was Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, lookin all cute, hiking together. And, since I’m not a local LA-er and don’t see celebrities everyday, I of course was totally starstruck. Whatev.

If you haven’t noticed by now, the blog has been taken over with pictures by Mary of Floataway Studios and well, you won’t find me complainin’. We decided on a whim to take our cameras for a little walk around the neighborhood and shoot some photos of each other.

What do two photographers do with a free Saturday? They go to Santa Monica, of course. Mary and I spent the entire day walking around Santa Monica, going into stores, giving money to good looking firemen, getting harassed by guys in forever (jk, he was a nice guy. I give him props), eating delicious veggie sandwiches, and walking along the pier. Oh and doing it old school by only shooting with film and polaroid cameras. Since I kinda forgot to take a picture of myself, here are some cute ones of Mary.

1. Mary and her beloved dream couch in Anthro.

2. This was supposed to be a shot of the beach from the pier but apparently I don’t know how to not overexpose so you get to see the cars in the parking lot instead.

3. Mary being adorable at lunch with her new shades.

4. Happy, overexposed Mary with her free cupcake and Vanilla bakery.

Today was spent with the Floataway crew in the OC shooting a beautiful wedding. I had SO much fun with these two! I would drive the 2 hour drive every weekend to hang out with them =)

ps. Thank you Mary for all of these shots!

Scott and I getting our groove on. Oh wait, I’m dancing alone.

I think Mary’s sad because she saw how terrible my bangs looked.

I made the drive to Studio City this afternoon to spend the weekend with my dear friend Mary. I’m so stinkin’ excited to hang out with her and shoot a wedding with her tomorrow! Tonight most of the girls from our Palm Springs trip got together at the swanky Shade Hotel for drinks and appetizers. It was soo nice seeing their lovely faces and catching up with each of them. I love having these amazing girls as my co workers (c-dubs) =)

We snuck out onto the patio and set up the self timer to grab some shots of all of us. Head over to this link to look at them! yay!
