What to Wear to a Wedding Wednesday

It’s Hump Day!!!! Happy mid week day! It’s that much closer to being Friday! Two friends of mine are getting married Saturday and I can’t wait TO BE A GUEST!!!!! Oh, and witness their love and watch them say I do =)
So since I’m always talking about Weddings, let’s jump into today’s post! My sweet friend Deveina wrote me and asked what she should wear to a wedding that she’s going to in Florida at a wharf. First of all, I had to google what the heck a wharf was! Don’t judge me. I live in the MIDDLE of California. Literally. So since I found out what it is….kind of. I decided to title this post;
What To Wear to a Wedding Wednesday: Beach Style (because the wharf is by the ocean I just thought that I could throw these two together)
#1. I tried not to get all nautical on you since that’s what immediately pops into my head when thinking of the beach (oh, and wharf) Amanda had this adorable maxi dress on the other day and I loved it. This one is from J.Crew and is nice enough to wear to a wedding. Now, when I think of water, I think wind! So I like the idea of wearing a maxi dress and skipping the whole, “oh crap I need to hold my dress down so no one gets flashed by my chonies”. Pair it with these super cute rope sandals (don’t they remind you of the roped tied to the dock from the boat!?) and this lovely long gold necklace!

#2. So then I got stuck! Wynter mentioned that she’d be all over wearing a nice pair of white linen pants! I sometimes forget that women can totally wear pants! So yay! An alternative to dresses! Put a cute tank with it, add some color with this awesome necklace and if you actually get these bow tie sandals, order me a pair…I’ll email you my size and mailing address. I’m obsessed with them.

#3. This is my favorite =) I found this dress on ModCloth (An awesome site, by the way) and I’m in love. I want to wear this outfit everyday. So I really like the material of this dress because its thicker. Being said, it’s not going to fly around and show your chonies, ya know? Put on these rockin Seychelles and some funky earrings and you’re the hottest girl there. Just sayin….

Alicia’s Bridal Shower was perfect. Pretty, pink, elegant, fun! It was SO Alicia! Suzy is the one to praise for the fabulous decor! She did an amazing job coming up with everything. I love the mason jar glasses/favors! I use mine on my desk to hold my pens =)
The “Bride” sign on the adorable chair {that Suzy painted and reupholstered for the shower} is from The Wedding Chicks as well as the stickers for the candy table!
The shower was hosted in Alicia’s Mom’s backyard. It’s about as pretty as it can be!

Good Evening, my sweet loves =)
It’s been quite an interesting day! Did a ton of spring cleaning, killed a few mice, {seriously} unpacked from my recent trip to Vegas with Mary & got to love on my precious little baby girl.
A recap of my weekend:
Drove to Santa Monica, rode in car {while listening to Adele, duh} with Amanda & Mary to Vegas, had dinner at Serendipity <3, met a new friend, hung out with a bunch of dudes, shot a wedding with my favorite Mary =), walked almost 10,000 steps, slept in till noon, walked around the strip, watched Mary’s hat fly into the Bellagio fountains, shot a day after session with Mary in the desert, went on the most perfect date in Vegas……a movie & bowling 
, got up, packed, rode in the car with Amanda & Mary, walked around the stupid steep hills of Beverly Hills, hugged Rilo, drove home.
What I didn’t do this weekend:
eat frozen yogurt.
What I need to do soon:
eat frozen yogurt. Oh, & find a date to a wedding Saturday, know anyone? =)

#6. My Mom. Since I didn’t get to spend Mother’s Day with her yesterday I helped her clean today. What? Best daughter award? I KNOW! =) But, I did get her a card that took the words straight from my brain and put it all pretty on a folded piece of paper. Don’t you love when that happens? Cards are my favorite things to receive. fyi =) My Mom is the best. I mean, check me out, rockin the bandana way back in the day? She started my fashion wisdom off on the RIGHT foot! Thanks Mom, love you!

Speaking of precious baby girls
I’m so in love with my new little niece. Today she is a whole week old! I can’t wait till we can sit and chat and talk about dance!
Just a day old and has more hair than I did at 2 years old.
The morning I left last week, just 3 days old here. I love her chubby cheeks <3
