Mad ♥ Mondays
Mad Love has gone BABY CRAZY!
In honor of my little nameless niece’s birth today, I’ve gone a little baby crazy for Mad Love! Almost every single thing I’ve found for this post has been through Pinterest. Have no idea what that is? You must live under a rock. That’s all I’ve gotta say.
This weekend was insane! In the best way of course. I’ll touch on Wynters wedding soon =)
I’m going to jump right into it today. If I stop to think too long, I’ll fall asleep.
#1. These two nursery’s make me swoon. I love the wood floors and that yellow rug! Ah!
#2. I am loving these birth info posters! I would, of course, love them in a vintage frame =)

#4. Who needs (or wants for that matter) a barbie car when you could have THIS! AH, so freakin cute!

#5. Ok. I love this and would love it like a million times more if it weren’t butterflies. BUT, just think of all the different possibilities?! birds, flowers, leaves, letters, yada yada…. It’s so soothing looking!

#6. One thing that was not found through Pinterest! Score some amazing vintage clothing for your little one on The Littlest! How adorable is this dress!?

#8. Striped onesie! Looks so cute and organic!!

#9. Can’t you see my future kid wearing this?

#10. If you’re a parent, soon to be parent, aunt, uncle, anyone who has a baby, wants a baby…ok I’ll stop… you need to be checking out this site. http://OntoBaby.com is ran by the same lovely women who have The Wedding Chicks. It is the sweetest little site full of tons of inspiration for your little ones! I am swooning over these little yellow sandals!!

What to Wear to a Wedding Wednesday
I got a fabulous suggestion from a friend yesterday… Misty wrote me and asked if I would make a blog post about what to wear to a wedding. Seeing as Wynter’s wedding is here in a whopping 2 days, she’s stuck on what to wear!
…and then a light bulb went off!
So, I welcome you {a day late. Hey, it might still be Wednesday somewhere in the world} to…. What to Wear to a Wedding Wednesday! Wynter {my fabulous fashion merchandising BFF} and I will be doing a segment on what is appropriate to wear to weddings. Each week, month, {haven’t really decided on that yet}…We’ll do a different wedding theme. This week just so happens to be {BACKYARD} since that’s what Wynters is =)
As we all know, white, ivory, cream….is a big Wedding attire NO NO! Don’t try to compete with the Bride. It’s her day. Let her be the only one looking all nice and tan in her ivory dress.
Now, another {BACKYARD} wedding NO NO is sky high skinny stilettos. Those puppies will have you sinking so fast in the grass you won’t know what hit ya! So, just don’t do that. Be sure, if you’re going to wear heels, which is totally great, that they have a thicker heel on them. Kinda like these adorable Seychelles pictured in this first outfit set!
Since we’re all visual beings, let start.
Cotton dresses are perfect for outdoors weddings. They breathe, they’re comfy and they’re adorable! I am LOVING this one from J.Crew!
It’s super easy to dress up a cotton dress too. Throw on a statement necklace, like this one {that I have} from Forever 21! It’s inexpensive and adorable!
Now, just so you know, flats and sandals are totally appropriate for a backyard wedding! Just make sure they’re not Old Navy flip flops. I’m not talking about those types of sandals. The sandals that the model has on would be perfect! But, if you’re feeling sassy, throw on a pair of these bad boys. I’m obsessed with Seychelles {and will be wearing a pair myself at the wedding!}

Moving on….
Wynter informed me that maxi dresses are still in!! WOO!!!
Plus, they’re totally acceptable to wear to a backyard wedding as well! For those of you who may want to hide those legs of yours since you haven’t been tanning yet, throw on this dress that I’m DYING for from Anthropologie!
Now, with this dress, wearing some sandals works perfect! These gold strappy sandals have the perfect amount of wedge on them! {Also from Anthro}
Since this dress has so much detail on the top, I would throw on some gold bangles. You don’t want to wear a necklace and distract from that awesome detailing!

And yet another option is a skirt!! I honestly always forgot about skirts because they don’t look good on me (Megan) but they look so adorable on other people. So if it works for you, rock it! I love the entire outfit on the model! That cream pleated skirt is so stinkin cute!!
A couple other options for ya! Pair a colored skirt with a floral tank or just a plain neutral tank! Put some wedges on and a long necklace and you’re set to go! All of these cute finds are from Urban Outfitters!

So, you’re set to go to your backyard wedding this weekend right? Hope this helped you! Stay tuned for more What to Wear to a Wedding Wednesdays =)

I hate Anthropologie! And by hate I mean love. I just hate that their stuff is a little out of my price range and there are always things I want! haha That maxi dress is SOOOO cute!
