Mad ♥ Mondays
What a week of catch up! Alicia and Brook’s wedding on Saturday was absolutely perfect. It rained, just as Alicia wished it would and I took bridal party photos in the rain…in the middle of the street. Have I mentioned how much I love that my couples are game for anything?! Ya, they’re pretty amazing. I started designing my new website thanks to Showit! I can’t wait to launch everything!! Soon soon soon. Oh, and when that time comes, I’ll be having a little {BIG} giveaway =) So now, I sit at my desk listening to Nina Simone pandora and get work done before I head to SF/Sacramento for the week. I can’t wait to shoot with Jackie and Gladys and then explore some of San Francisco that I’ve never been to before!
So here’s to rain in June, pretty things coming soon and exploring cities.
and with that, here are my favorite things from the week ♥
#1. I recently found out about this product line called Heima Store and immediately fell in love with their products! That alphabet print and that chair!!! AH! To die for cute! Too bad their based in the Phillipines. A girl can wish.

#3. I want to live in this outfit all summer long. That’s all.

#4. With cupcakes being such a popular item for desserts nowadays, why not spruce it up with some lace. You can never go wrong with that.

#5. While wearing #3 I’ll be sipping on #5. Prosecco Sangria recipe from Martha Stewart. YUM!

Sarah & Danny
I met Sarah and Danny through Will and Wynter. Will and Danny worked together back in the day so being the awesome wingwoman I am, I would go with Wynter to Will’s work so they could flirt…..or uh, hangout.
I had so much fun with these two! We roamed around the Santa Monica pier all afternoon! Danny is big into his bike so they wanted to incorporate it into their session which I loved! We dodged a bunch of tourists of segways and then headed up to the pier! It’s a ton of fun there because there’s so much to do! We went on the ferris wheel, stood around bright colored buildings, then braved the beach.
You two little lovebirds, thank you for everything! I’m so honored that you chose me to capture your love.
xoxo

What to Wear to a Wedding Wednesday…& some shenanigans.
I’ve been a little MIA with the what to wear posts, well actually just posts in general… Life got a little crazy and now I’m just trying to catch up! I was in Santa Monica for almost two weeks shooting alongside some of my dear dear friends. I got to shoot a wedding in an airplane hanger, an engagement session on the Santa Monica pier, drove a boat around a lake with Mary, had a once in a lifetime experience and got to shoot Niecy Nash’s wedding alongside the amazing Heidi Ryder, and shot a gorgeous wedding at the Villa in San Juan Capistrano with Ashley.
Speaking of Niecy’s wedding…because we were, right? Check out Heidi’s photos in this week’s Life & Style magazine. I totally photo bombed the cake cutting photo. Look out for my arm/camera. woops! Also, TLC filmed the wedding for a special this Saturday. Be sure to tune in at 8pm and watch Niecy Nash’s Wedding Bash!! Look out for Heidi, Candice and I doing our thang =)
Ok. Back to what to wear…
This weekend is Alicia & Brook’s wedding and I couldn’t be more excited for this day to be here! They are getting married in a gorgeous, I mean gorgeous Cathedral and then dancing and partying all night in a historical ballroom! It’s going to be a beautiful day surrounded by fabulous people! Since their wedding is a little bit more elegant, I’m using it as my What to Wear Wedding today!
Now, for a more elegant wedding, feel free to dress up a tad bit more! I have built four different outfits. All have pretty much the same elements to them. Since these dresses all have a higher neck, they look better with earrings instead of a necklace.
#1. I love love love this floral dress and would wear those shoes every single day! Since this dress is pretty busy by itself, I paired really simple gold raindrop earrings! Think about how much fun this dress would be on the dance floor!
Dress: Modcloth
Shoes: Urban Outfitters
Earrings: Anthropologie
#2. This teal dress is super simple but has the cutest detail in the back! I paired it with these lace earrings to give it some texture and put it with some neutral heels!
Dress: ModCloth
Shoes & Earrings: Anthropologie
#3. You can NEVER go wrong with a little black dress, especially one with a pattern! Pair it with some color. I am dying over these teal slingbacks! ah! So cute!
Dress: ModCloth
Shoes & Earrings: Anthropologie
#4. This last dress is so much fun! I love how flowy it is! Pair it with a cute black belt and these black t-strap heels!
Dress: Modcloth
Shoes: Urban Outfitters
Earrings: Anthropologie
