Happy Monday lovelies! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Mine was busy! I got into Santa Monica Thursday morning, relaxed all day with the puppies! Friday I assisted my sweet friend Ala on a shoot, Saturday I 2nd shot with the lovely Heidi Ryder, & yesterday I had an engagement session on the pier with Sarah and Danny AND THEN went and picked up Mary and Scott from the airport!! A weekend filled with tons of lovely faces! I’ll be down here until the 30th and am loving it. I promise I’m moving here soon. seriously.

#2. I don’t talk about bands/artists as much as I should. These guys from Sleepy Sun deserve a spot in this post. I recently saw them at Cellar Door and instantly was a fan. Their style is a little psychedelic, a little mellow, and somehow thrown together it’s pretty magical. They recently released a new album, Fever. Head over to iTunes right now and get it. I promise you’ll fall in love like I did!

#3. If you like DIY stuff and you aren’t following Ashley Anne’s blog, you are seriously missing out. She currently showed some images of her own bedroom and I fell in love with the “you & me” she had above her bed. So sweet!

#5. I saw this ring and my jaw dropped. It’s absolutely gorgeous! I’m not sure where it came from but I love how unique it is! Be sure to check out that entire wedding. The bride’s dress & the bridesmaids dresses were all made by the bride’s MOTHER! Hello most talented woman in the world!

Thursday Thoughts. My Best Friend’s Wedding.

First off, No. Thursday Thoughts is not another segment of mine. That would just be a little too much over here. It just sounded nice and I have things to say. So, moving on.
Ah, Wynter and Will are MARRIED! It was truly one of the most beautiful days I’ve ever witnessed. Wynter now has a new last name and Will wears a ring. It’s cute.
As I stated before, I was going to be shooting parts of the wedding but also {THANK THE LORD} had my amazing friend Raquel Leal there all day backing me up. And boy did I ever need the back up. These silly live events never go according to plan, ya know? I was a little bit like a chicken with it’s head cut off. I just wanted everything to run as smooth as possible. What I should have done was relax. Sometimes, I’m a bit of a control freak. woops.
In the end, everything was perfect. Raquel captured the whole day beautifully! And although for a split second, I was a little bummed that I didn’t just shoot the entire thing, after looking over all of the photos, I was so happy to see myself IN them! Then Wynter said to me, “I would much rather have had you up there standing next to me than shooting it” and everything was right in the world.
I still managed to shoot about a ton and this is one of my favorite sets.
These photos that Raquel captured made it all SO worth it! I couldn’t imagine not standing next to Wynter as she became a married woman.
