Day Trip To Cayucos & 3 days late, 3 dollars short?
We had such a lovely day today celebrating G-mas’s Birthday! We did a bit of wine tasting at Mondo Winery in Paso Robles. Well, I should say that some of us did wine tasting…I more so did wine sipping. I know it’s an acquired taste and all but I just can’t seem to acquire it. I’d much rather has a pepsi. What a crazy drinker I am! The red umbrellas from the winery drew us in and the staff there were so friendly! We all had such a fun little stop there and were pretty happy we accidentally made a wrong turn and ended up there! From the winery we headed to Cayucos. The sky was threatening us with foggy weather but as we drove over the mountain we were greeted with quite a warm sunny day! Despite the crazy wind on the pier, of course! I grabbed a few shots of the beach and since I’m ohhhh 3 days behind on my 365 I thought I’d make up for it =) I kind of feel bad that I’m being a cheater…but it is my project so I can make the rules, right? Ok..perfect! Let’s get on with some photos!
I love this shot. This guy was doing some wind surfing that I had never seen before. We watched him from the outdoor patio while we had lunch at Schooners. I swear there were times we all thought the wind was going to take him up..up high into the air!

oh poor birds.. They really don’t stand a chance to these spikes.

My Mom smuggled some rocks from the beach. That’s legal right?

We stopped in this little town of Harmony on our way out. And by little I mean….the population is 18. We checked out their shops.. Well, their whole 2 shops in town. One was a pottery shop and the other one was a shop full of blown glass. Crazy stuff in there. It reminded me of the movie Sweet Home Alabama where he does all the glass blowing stuff.

Loved this little bike, so I grabbed a shot =)

This makes me want to go to Cayucos so badly!!!!! It’s so pretty there! I love, love these images!
Though I have to say I LOVE wine! Mmmm. I guess it’s fitting since we were married on a vineyard
Hope your grandmother had a wonderful birthday! xo
